The Weekend Collective is Lisbon based creative partnership that specializes in visual storytelling for the hospitality industry.



Manuel Gomes da Costa was born in Mozambique in 1969. He studied photography in London and, in 1989, began working as a freelance photographer in the areas of corporate and advertising photography. In 1999 he began collaborating with the magazines Grande Reportagem, Volta ao Mundo and Evasões. In 2003 he was invited to create and direct the photographic project for Blue Living and Blue Travel magazines. He was also Director of Photography for Volta ao Mundo and Evasões magazines. He currently works as a freelance photographer for various publications, including Rotas e Destinos and Conde Nast Traveler (Spain). He was the author of the photographs for the last two books in the Unibanco collections - XXI Arquitectura Contemporânea Portuguesa and XXI Interiores.
Tiago Lobo holds academic training in Electronic and Computer Engineering and Business Management. He worked in IT until he decides to follow his passion for filmmaking and has been dedicated to this craft for over a decade. From concept development to final delivery, he brings a sharp creative vision and technical precision to projects across a range of genres, including fashion, commercial, institutional, documentary, and artistic films. He thrives on the diversity and challenges of each new project, always exploring fresh approaches and ideas in search of compelling stories to tell. His clients include Jameson, Huawei, Madeira Tourism, APICCAPS, El Corte Inglés, Costa Nova, Octant, Wyndham, Quebramar, among others.
Sebastião Salgado graduated in Law and he worked as a lawyer in Lisbon until he decided to study screenwriting in New York. After returning to Portugal, he wrote several series, soap operas, and films, and in 2016, he enrolled in a master’s program at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School, where he began directing his own films. Since then, he has completed three short films shown at various national and international festivals, a six-episode fiction series for RTP and HBO, and a feature film for cinema, which will premiere in Portuguese theaters in 2026. At The Weekend Collective he brings his passion for storytelling to serve clients.
